A Space Designed to Inspire

Battersea, London

Where Striking Design Meets Comfort and Creativity

A sensitively designed space to inspire fun, creativity and community with an undertone of comfort and calm – Domus Hosting Kitchen is all this and more. Rich yet muted palettes combine with chic, soft furnishings, eye-catching natural materials, and art to ensure this fully functional showroom is a place for architects and designers to meet, learn, and exchange ideas.

The Hosting Kitchen cleverly combines versatility, striking design, and functionality. A kitchen, bar, and lounge area with the mood-enhancing colour and design touches break up the space while also creating flow. The distinct hand-painted mural of faces and figures by artist Jan Erika which spreads from the kitchen wall to the lounge space, fashioning an inspirational learning and social environment where people come first.

Kitchen Collaboration

In the kitchen, wooden cabinets and porcelain slabs on the worktops, splashback, and cooking island give the space form, creating a dynamic focal point perfect for events. The addition of metallic and plush material components, seen in the brass base stools around the island which sport intricate grooving and muted moss-green leather tops, adds a sense of luxury. Despite the high-class, high-style aesthetic of the kitchen space, things are kept warm and inviting thanks to the earthy Vert de Moneteau Argile paint on the walls, which ensures this space remains grounding and communal.

Warmth and Light for Social Spaces

Further mood-elevating design touches are seen in the Haara pendant light provided by Cameron Design House, which gently diffuses the light via hand-drawn glass and creates a warm, cosy and inviting atmosphere to create and collaborate. Adjoining the kitchen is an eye-catching bar featuring worktops from Domus Eccentric Luxe Caramel slabs by Tailor-made+. This highly textured marble, with its palette of warm tones, denotes both luxury and emotional warmth, an ideal backdrop for socialising.

A Laid-back Lounge

The overall space is given material softness via a custom-designed banquette sofa in an earthy terracotta which makes up the lounge area. The sofa, handmade in Cheltenham by Lyndon and upholstered with fabric from Romo, grounds the space both physically and aesthetically, creating a comfortable area in which to sit, socialise and generate ideas.

A dynamically designed three-space area in one, Domus Hosting Kitchen, with its nuanced colour, style and design touches, is sure to add the spark required to any event it plays host to.
